Als Technischer Product Owner Shopify (m/w/d) bist du die zentrale Schnittstelle zwischen Business, E-Commerce, externen Agenturen und der Shopify-Plattform. Du verantwortest die strategische Weiterentwicklung unseres Shopify-Shops, übersetzt Business-Ziele in skalierbare technische Lösungen und stellst sicher, dass unser E-Commerce-Setup performant, wartbar und wachstumsfähig bleibt.

Ownership für unseren Shopify-Shop: Weiterentwicklung, Stabilität, Skalierbarkeit & Performance
Übersetzung von Business-, Marketing- & E-Commerce-Anforderungen in konkrete Shopify-Lösungen
Strategische & operative Steuerung von Theme-Anpassungen, App-Setups & Shopify-Features
Bewertung von Shopify-Standards vs. Custom-Lösungen inkl. klarer Empfehlungen (Build vs. Buy)
Auswahl, Einführung & Steuerung von Shopify-Apps inklusive Kosten-/Nutzen-Abwägung
Enge Zusammenarbeit mit externen Agenturen & internen Stakeholdern (E-Commerce, Marketing, Performance, Produkt)
Strukturierte Erstellung von Briefings, Tickets & Anforderungen sowie Review von Umsetzungsergebnissen
Verantwortung für Roadmaps, Releases, Priorisierung & Abhängigkeitsmanagement
Sicherstellung einer optimalen Customer Journey mit Fokus auf Conversion, UX/UI & Umsatz-KPIs
Monitoring & Ableitung von Optimierungen anhand relevanter E-Commerce-Kennzahlen (Conversion Rate, AOV, Warenkorb-Abbrüche etc.)
Dokumentation von Setups, Entscheidungen & Prozessen zur Sicherstellung langfristiger Wartbarkeit
Kontinuierliche Beobachtung neuer Shopify-Features, Apps & Best Practices und deren sinnvolle Integration

WARUM DU ZU UNS PASST

Mindestens 3 Jahre relevante Berufserfahrung im E-Commerce-Umfeld, idealerweise als Technischer Product Owner, E-Commerce Manager oder in einer vergleichbaren Schnittstellenrolle mit klarem Shopify-Fokus
Sehr gute Shopify-Kenntnisse und fundierte Kenntnisse der Plattform (Admin, Themes, Apps, Checkout, Metafelder, Markets)
Erfahrung im Theme-Customizing ohne tiefgehende Softwareentwicklung
Sichere Einschätzung der Grenzen von Shopify-Standardlösungen vs. Custom-Entwicklung
Ausgeprägtes Business- & E-Commerce-Know-how mit Fokus auf Umsatz, Conversion & Customer Journey
Erfahrung in der Auswahl, Bewertung und Einführung von Shopify-Apps

As a Technical Product Owner Shopify (m/f/d), you are the central interface between business, e-commerce, external agencies, and the Shopify platform. You are responsible for the strategic development of our Shopify store, translating business goals into scalable technical solutions and ensuring that our e-commerce setup remains performant, maintainable, and ready for growth.

YOUR IMPACT

Ownership of our Shopify store: continuous development, stability, scalability, and performance
Translating business, marketing, and e-commerce requirements into concrete Shopify solutions
Strategic and operational management of theme customizations, app setups, and Shopify features
Evaluating Shopify standard solutions versus custom development, including clear build-vs-buy recommendations
Selecting, implementing, and managing Shopify apps, including cost-benefit assessments
Close collaboration with external agencies and internal stakeholders (e-commerce, marketing, performance, product)
Structured creation of briefings, tickets, and requirements, as well as reviewing implementation results
Responsibility for roadmaps, releases, prioritization, and dependency management
Ensuring an optimal customer journey with a strong focus on conversion, UX/UI, and revenue KPIs
Monitoring performance and deriving optimizations based on key e-commerce metrics (conversion rate, AOV, cart abandonment, etc.)
Documenting setups, decisions, and processes to ensure long-term maintainability
Continuously monitoring new Shopify features, apps, and best practices and integrating them where meaningful

WHY YOU WOULD BE A GOOD FIT FOR US

At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in an e-commerce environment, ideally as a Technical Product Owner, E-Commerce Manager, or in a comparable interface role with a strong Shopify focus
Strong Shopify expertise and in-depth knowledge of the platform (admin, themes, apps, checkout, metafields, markets)
Experience with theme customization without deep software development
Ability to confidently assess the boundaries between Shopify standard solutions and custom development
Strong business and e-commerce know-how with a focus on revenue, conversion, and customer journey
Experience in selecting, evaluating, and implementing Shopify apps
Basic technical knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS as well as APIs, webhooks, and typical Shopify integrations
Ability to discuss and challenge technical concepts with developers and agencies at eye level
Experience working with external agencies
Structured, prioritized way of working with oversight of roadmaps and releases
Strong communication and translation skills between business and technical teams
Hands-on mindset, strong sense of ownership, and a pragmatic problem-solving approach
Very good German and English skills, written and spoken
Curiosity, willingness to learn, and active engagement with the Shopify ecosystem and new best practices
