Als Head of Accounting (m/w/d) übernimmst du die volle Verantwortung für unser Accounting mit klarem Schwerpunkt auf Steuern, Abschlüsse und Compliance. Du stellst sicher, dass Zahlen nicht nur korrekt sind, sondern als stabile Grundlage für Wachstum, Profitabilität und unternehmerische Entscheidungen dienen.

Ownership für das Accounting- und Tax-Setup - national und international
Aufbau und Umsetzung eines internationalen Accounting‑ & Steuerkonzepts für ein wachsendes E‑Commerce‑/D2C‑Geschäft inkl. Zusammenarbeit mit lokalen Steuerberatungen und Accounting‑Partnern
Verantwortung für Monats-, Quartals- und Jahresabschlüsse nach HGB
Steuerliche Gesamtverantwortung: Umsatzsteuer (national & international), Ertragsteuern, Abstimmungen, Fristen und Prüfungen
Verantwortung für Verrechnungspreise, Intercompany‑Strukturen, Dokumentationen und Abstimmungen
Führung und Weiterentwicklung eines leistungsstarken Accounting‑ & Tax‑Teams
Enge Steuerung und Zusammenarbeit mit Steuerberatung, Wirtschaftsprüfern, Behörden und externen Partnern
Sicherstellung sauberer Buchhaltungs- und Steuerprozesse im E-Commerce- & D2C-Umfeld
Optimierung von Zahlungsströmen, Payment Providern und buchhalterischen Schnittstellen
Aufbau klarer Prozesse, Standards und Dokumentationen für Tax & Accounting Excellence
Transparenz und Datenqualität als Grundlage für Management-Entscheidungen
Sparringspartner*in für die Geschäftsführung bei steuerlichen, finanziellen und strukturellen Fragestellungen

Mehrjährige Erfahrung in einer Senior- oder Head-of-Accounting-Rolle mit starkem Steuerfokus
Fundierte Kenntnisse in HGB sowie im deutschen Steuerrecht, idealerweise mit E-Commerce-Bezug
Erfahrung im Umgang mit Umsatzsteuer, internationalen Sachverhalten und steuerlicher Compliance
Sicherer Umgang mit DATEV sowie modernen ERP- und Finanzsystemen
Verständnis für Zahlungsflüsse, Payment Provider und Online-Transaktionen
Strukturierte, qualitäts- und verantwortungsbewusste Arbeitsweise
Hands-on-Mentalität mit strategischem Blick
Sehr gute Deutschkenntnisse, Englischkenntnisse von Vorteil

As Head of Accounting (m/f/d), you take full ownership of our accounting function with a clear focus on taxes, financial statements and compliance. You ensure that numbers are not only accurate, but serve as a reliable foundation for growth, profitability and strategic decision-making.

YOUR IMPACT

Full responsibility for the accounting and tax setup
Ownership of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB), including quality, deadlines and compliance
Overall responsibility for tax matters, including VAT (national & international), corporate taxes, reconciliations, deadlines and audits
Close collaboration and coordination with tax advisors, auditors and authorities
Ensuring clean and compliant accounting and tax processes in a fast-growing e-commerce & D2C environment
Optimization of payment flows, payment providers and accounting interfaces
Development of clear processes, standards and documentation for tax & accounting excellence
Ensuring transparency and data quality as a basis for management decisions
Acting as a trusted sparring partner to the management team on financial, tax and structural topics

WHY YOU WOULD BE A GOOD FIT FOR US

Several years of experience in a senior or head of accounting role with a strong tax focus
Solid expertise in German GAAP (HGB) and German tax law, ideally within an e-commerce or D2C context
Hands-on experience with VAT, international tax topics and tax compliance
Confident working with DATEV and modern ERP and finance systems
Strong understanding of payment flows, payment providers and online transactions
Structured, quality-driven and highly responsible working style
Hands-on mindset combined with a strategic perspective
Excellent German skills; good English skills are a plus
